1948 – THE BIRTH OF A PASSION
In the heart of Puglia, a land rich in history and style, eight-year-old Antonio Paparella began his journey into artisanal tailoring. In a small workshop in Ruvo di Puglia, he dedicatedly learned the art of tailoring, supporting his family in the post-war period.
1962 – THE FIRST WORKSHOP
After years of apprenticeship and specialized training, Antonio fulfilled his dream by opening his first artisanal workshop, skillfully combining tradition and innovation. His garments, initially created for local festivities, soon attracted an increasingly refined clientele.

1982 – THE COMPANY IS BORN
During the economic boom, the business evolved from a small workshop into a true industrial reality: Paparella S.r.l. was founded. Mass production preserved the same quality and sartorial finishing, laying the groundwork for national and international expansion.
THE SECOND GENERATION – TOWARD INTERNATIONAL MARKETS
With the entry of the founder’s sons into the company, Paparella was renewed, focusing decisively on international markets. DISTRIBUZIONE TESSILE and the FUGÀTO brand were born — symbols of quality, innovation, and Italian style in the high-end fashion sector.

TODAY – INNOVATION AND UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY
The production site is still located in Ruvo di Puglia, where modernity and artisanal spirit blend seamlessly. Each FUGÀTO garment is the result of a rigorous creative process — from selecting the finest fabrics from Biella to meticulous quality control before distribution to the world’s most prestigious boutiques.
